“Fashion Icons” Made Institute Fashion Show
& Warehouse Launch

2017 Philadelphia Fashion Week

As part of 2017 Philadelphia Fashion Week, Made Institute commissioned KUZU Creative House to make a video installation for their Fashion Show & Warehouse Launch Party. KUZU installed a two channel video titled “Fashion Icons”, and animated the visuals live during the event.

KUZU’s response to the theme of the show, “Paper Dolls”  was to create a visuals deck of collaged body parts, textile textures and fashion designer tools. We collected these assets via photoshoots at the Made Institute, and combined them with Eastern Orthodox / Byzantine religious iconography aesthetic.

Leveraging our creative brain bank, KUZU also installed a sound system, DJ Booth and lights in the space and provided music by our DJ friends, Designer Drugs and The Lothario .

 “Dreamscape” Fresh Artists dream wall

  2018 Cool Jobs Expo

For Philly based non-for-profit Fresh Artists’ 2018 Cool Jobs Expo, KUZU created the interactive “Dreamscape”, mapping projections on to a three-panel wall under which middle-schoolers attending the Expo wrote their dreams for the future.

KUZU collected and combined images from the Philadelphia urbanscape that are familiar to the kids, with animals, Afro-futurist patterns and cyber-punk aesthetic to present a fun, playful and positive future.

KUZU also made available a MIDI controller available, along with a simple infographic listing our process and resources we used to make the “Dreamscape”, for kids who were interested in learning how to make their our own projection mapping project.

Creative content for creative professionals

Our client and friend, DJ Ripley aka Professor Larissa Mann needed a  new way to share her multifaceted endeavors. KUZU designed a website to house her creative and academic portfolio, with a blog to share news like tour dates and publications.

We took Ripley on a day-long photoshoot adventure to provide her a new set of head-shots that she can pick and choose from according to the vibe of project she is involved in.

KUZU also helps Ripley out with marketing content such as animations and announcements for social media.
